@willbande Depressing? I can understand why you feel that, but it is only slower then the versions you normally hear (last night of the proms). Those versions make it a triumphant fanfare, while this version is more like a prayer.

Both make sense with the words of the song and I really can't say which I like better.

@willbande To each his own, I suppose, but I find it quite beautiful. Could you recommend a youtube version you think is better? I'll check it out. I first heard this song in the movie called Chariots of Fire, and this version seems similar. Maybe that's why I like it.
