When Santa came to Edgerton, Wisconsin on snowy, windy, and cold December 6, 2008, his train was pulled by Soo Line 1003. This video begins in downtown Edgerton. After some switching moves, the 1003 rolled out of town with a short train consisting of three Wisconsin & Southern passenger cars and a Milwaukee Road caboose. The video ends six miles later at a coaling stop in the nearby town of Milton.
The 1003 is based in Hartford, WI and this train was hosted by the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad.
This clip will be featured in an upcoming episode of the TV series Trackside. Go to www.trainweb.org/tracksideonline for more information.
