Hahn's Macaw talking II

Boncuk (Turkish for lucky)is on vacation in our backyard, hanging-out on our pear tree. She talks and sings happy birthday while also looking around for intruders. :)

I Think you are asking when they start talking...Well, our Macaw started talking around the age of 5 to 6 months, and her first "word" was "whatcha doing" ..Your other comment is that Boncuk doesn't mean Lucky in Turkish well it can mean button also. But I was referring to her as Nazar Boncuk, Which is a luck charm in Turkish, so instead of calling her Nazar Boncuk, we are calling her Boncuk..:)

Hi there, please do tell - how do you manage to have your lovely girl up in a tree and keep her safe? Aren't you afraid she might take flight? Even with clipped wings, small birds like a Hahn's can fly high and far if frightened. (A loud sound like a lawn mower is all that is needed....I say that because alas, I've been there.) Please be careful with such a lovely bird!

careful pear leaves and bark are poisonous to parrots. just make sure she doesn't eat any of the tree. the fruit is fine though except the seeds.

Why are people always either bragging about their birds, or leaving stupid comments? If you don't like the video, DON'T watch it - simple right? There are lots of bird forums, where you can argue and discuss wing clipping, etc. Other people don't care how you feel about it! Get a life, weirdos!!!
