Sorry for the horrible compression artifacts, the recorded video was OGG, then converted to MPG without any specific compression settings enabled, so the result was ugly artifacts.

What program did you use to capture the desktop vid? Thanks.

Istanbul. It's simple and small, but usually freezes up when saving (I usually grab the video from /tmp). It also doesn't lag down my laptop much.
