Can you find this redundant organ a home? This is the last concert on this instrument by Mark Cyphus before possible organicide on account of closure of the church in central London.

The Fugue on the name B.A.C.H demonstrates this wonderful 4 manual organ. Links to further details about this organ otherwise to be scrapped are on the "more info" of the "Plea for Organs" video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MW1oOTiFoOk

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the dance school could incorporate organ music into dance? But modern people don't appreciate the organ. That's why the Hammerwood Park concerts focus on organ music http://www.hammerwood.mistral.co.uk/concerts.htm but we don't have the space for an instrument like this so have to make do with an alternative, although an exceptional one. Why can't new users of buildings like this just incorporate an instrument like this into their plans and cherish it?

  • These old pipe organs are high maintenance when leather, cloth

and old wiring start to deteriorate. If the people of the church don't

know what to do about it, and there's no pipe organ repair person

nearby they have no clue what to do with it. Nobody ever posts a

video of what a pipe organ sounds like when its deteriorated.

I think ALL decent pipe organs should be restored, but in hard

economic times its just not feasible for some church groups.

  • @GooglFascists This instrument was in good condition and was not in need of impending expensive repairs

  • I understand that this organ is now in a church in a small town in Wales.

  • they've restored pieces of shit organs here in usa,,(like the Hook, in mechanics hall, worcester, ma usa),,this one is a keeper,,,,,you idiots

  • @ny1news Looks to me like nobody had to spend anything. The space required for pipes and an organ console is not really that much space. Heck, let it sit there and be a conversation piece until someone with better sense comes along. The problem now days is that if someone doesn't understand something they feel threatened by it and want to make it go away. I am very thankful that I tried a little bit to overcome my dislike of organ music. Now I am the biggest organ music fan alive and I play.

  • @ny1news because, they are very flexible instruments, and there is nothing else that can support people singing as well as a pipe organ does.

  • re description:

    what??

why would anyone spend money nowadays for something like this?

  • My church would love this instrument and we have a big room that seats 1000 tell me more if it is still available!!!!

  • WOW... such a bloody shame! Such a wonderful SOUND! So sad, indeed...

  • They destroyed this organ?! Bastards! It has a lovely timbre!
