Funny commercial from Denmark - Nyt Syn in Africa

The Danish optician chain store called Nyt Syn is gathering old spectacles and sending them to Africa. This January they went to Senegal with 1500 pair of spectacles and took almost 3000 eye tests.

This has nothing to do with racism. I can tell. I'm danish. You can't tell, because you're from a background that finds this offensive. I can see that from what you write. If they don't translate correctly, it's probably because no danish people can tell the difference anyway.

Second, the translation is not accurate, I can understand the language and in some parts that's NOT what they're saying. This is ignorance on rampage!

@CatMoca It says Africa CAN be dangerous, not is. And it's just a joke. An equivalent would be a fat man having trouble doing a sit up and then a caption says obesity can be bad for your health.

@newsearching And that is why the voice over said that living in AFRICA can be dangerous without glasses. So I am inclined to think it is a case of oversimplification. (btw, I don't want to start beef, just that as a Burundian, I can see that this ad is wrong on sooo many levels)
