Filming of Help! ended in May 1965; released in July. And about what John said he thought or when he said he thought... a bit into revisionist history you know... he didn't say 'no' because he didn't want to say 'no'... They were all happy - the first rockers to get it; GH is still the youngest person to receive it - at 22. When it was useful to give it back to make a point, JL did. That whole 'Working Class Hero' bit from Menlove Avenue!!! And no, they never smoked pot in the palace loo. Sorry.
