We must not build our system of belief on unbiblical concepts and scriptures misapplied.

1. Baptism is not Important

This is a concept that can not be substantiated in Scripture. Jesus connected Baptism with Salvation in Mark 16:14. Peter preached it at the Birth of the Church in Acts 2:38. Philip with the Ethopian Eunich and all of Samaria. Peter in Acts 10 commanded the whole house of Corneliuos to be Baptized and finally Paul, rebaptized those he met in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The Early church demonstrated urgency and communicated importance to baptism. The Difference that we see in our world today leads us to make a conclusion. What pattern will we choose? A biblical mindset and concept towards baptism?

2. The Thief on the Cross

This event happened during the Old Covenant time period. Jesus was still in the process of setting the New Covenant up... and it all happened in the Old Covenant.

The Great commission was given after the encounter with the thief on the cross.

3. What if someone dies on the way to baptism?

The Bible teaches against unlearned and foolish questions. This is a question that does not motivate toward obeying Biblical commands, rather causes confusion and apathy. Both are not Biblical mindsets.

Conclusion.

Baptism is Important. Everyone in the Bible after the great commission was baptized in Jesus Name.

The Thief did not experience new Testament salvation, because he died during the Old Covenant.

Don't let anything undermine scriptural teachings an commands.

  • hmmm did he say when JESUS was BAPTIZED bbecause thats all I was looking for...

  • The thief on the cross died UNDER the Law, and was saved BY the Law: "But if the wicked shall turn from all his sins...and keep all my statutes... he SHALL NOT die...".

Had that thief come down from the cross and lived until the day of Pentecost, surely he would have repented and been baptized "...in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...", and he would also have received the gift of eternal life: which is the Holy Spirit!

  • What can wash away my sins? nothing but the blood of JESUS!!! Thank GOD for the truth and I pray everyone who watches this video gets baptized in the name of JESUS. GOD bless.
