Man, despite you recorded it lately that day and, as you said, rushed it. either you werer mistuned, or you grabbed some heavy shit in the verse-riff ^^
But pretty nice right hand doing, keep prectising, and one day, you might become John Myung Jr. ;)

you are not perfect at the timing and i suggest you to play on higher strings
if you have a 5 or 6 string?, why not play some parts from B?

nice one dude, not bad at all. Are you using free strokes rather than rest strokes?

for right hand technique- i understand i do it different to most people, i hinge off of thumb on the adjacent string (B) for the E, for for every othre string i knd of hook/lodge my thumb between- so for A i lodge between B + E, and that allows me to keep my hand locked into place whilst i fire away with all three fingers. I hope that helped- if not- message me.

I meant like, instead of pulling up with your finger so it hits the string above when you make a stroke (rest stroke), youre pulling outwards so the string continues to ring?

yep, correct.

I have a comparatively high action on the B string because it is such a high gauge string. And the timing being out was due to the fact that it was 23:00 and i rushed it. So I might just re-record it anyway! :)
