10 yrs ago... tryed to get there in canoe from ranger station in everglade city... Went against the tides got stuck in a cove and could'nt fight my way out... Storm was brewing and was able to wave down fishing boat. They jacked me on board and captain lectured me for not having a radio or knowledge of reading a nautical map. I was disappointed because they said Rabbit Key was'nt too hard too find.
