  • All over Japan, I got placed in Aomori

I guess tokyo and osaka are the most popular choices so try and be flexible and youll have a better chance of getting a position

  • Wow I didn't realise this vid was getting such negative comments. Anyway I have just finished working with aeon and you get what you put in.

If you are good teacher you should apply.

I think aeon has a lot of jobs going so I think you have a good chance.

Japan is a safe, friendly country with a great respect for foreigners. If you can show them the same respect and offer them enjoyable informative classes then you are perfect to go to japan.

  • I think its great that tried to get in, but just by watching your video here its very hard to understand you.

  • Oh I did get the job. I had such a cheap camera. Ive been here in japan for a year and a half. I've been quite successful at it too so I encourage any mumbler to give it a go! :)

  • is any degree ok ? I am planning to get a degree soon I hope aeon turn me down. but I do not have a degree yet. I work with children

  • yes any degree is fine with them. I think its mainly just for the visa. You need the degree to show you have completed education to that level. The job role is pretty much unqualified, it seems to be based on if your personality fits. Hope that helps

  • Where do AEON teachers get placed to teach?

  • I could barely understand you :( But I did enjoy listening to what I COULD understand :) I liked your lesson plan too ^_^ I hope to apply this month :)

  • @glimmertwin86

Hey I have an interview with Aeon tomorrow. I don't have much teaching experience I've only been a T.A. for ESL courses at my university. I'm doing a directional lesson for my 5 min lesson. It's a game where one student gives the other student directions and the first student has to guess where something is.

I hope it's enough I really want to work for Aeon. Had you ever taught before Aeon? what advice would you give me.

  • I have been invited to the group interview this upcoming October and I am really excited. Do you know what the odds of being selected are? How was living in Japan? Are you still there? For some reason when I try to access the website listed at the end of the video it does not show up. I am not sure if that is because this video was dated quite long ago. Congrats though, and I hope you had/ are having a wonderful time!

  • I know you commented over 2 years ago, but I've just come across this video and I think you're wrong! I want to teach English in Japan, I come from a top 100 University in America and I'm employable in my own country! It's so rude for you to assume the worst in native-English speaking teachers and I hope if I go to Japan I don't meet negative people like you.
