Anyone who takes Adderall or who is thinking about trying Adderall I would highly recommend taking a 10mg IR later in the day (about 3-4 hours after taking the 30mg XR). This helps keep it's effects going for a few more hours AND also weans you off of the 30mg XR so that you do not experience a crash (which includes mild irratibility and sometimes insomnia).

Alot of people who have ADHD NEED Adderall to function normally, like myself. And Doctors should NOT be hesitant to prescribe Adderall to ANYONE who has been diagnosed with ADHD. That is wrong in many ways. Just because it has a high abuse potential, DOESN'T mean that some people still need it... SO, if you are a doctor reading this, do the right decision and be OPEN MINDED, and realize that alot of people truly need Adderall just to function normally and get day-to-day tasks done.

@fireballrox How much did you take. The first time I took vyvanse (similar kinda) it had a super strong effect but wore off over time. Were you prescribed it? you could talk to your doctor. Also if you are prescribed it and take it everyday you will become addicted to it. Thats why I only take mine on days I really need it that way it keeps working without having to up my does saves money and better for my health :)

Something I don't understand about this. A doctor tells you that you have add after running simple tests that show you have bad focus. So they put you on an amphetimine and you take it every day and normally become addicted to it. This is not abuse because a doctor told you to do it. Yet when you cant focus at all on something and take it maybe once or twice to study its abuse? I've been prescribed vyvanse and I have been only taking it when needed to stay up and finish projects. Is this abuse

No one here is saying Amphetamines are like vitamins, however, its a risk reward dialogue, the bottom line is choosing anything other than them first is the best advice, there are several similar products that stimulate the user and help with focus and higher energy levels, try them first!

@Melpheos1er LSD, maybe. Cocaine, no chance. I'm not an idiot. I know that Adderall is a prescription drug and amphetamines are not good for you but tbh, if it gets me good grades, isn't it worth it?

@LemonZeppelin Would you take cocain or LSD ? If yes, go ahead... If not, understand that this is amphetamins. It's a drug not a prescription drug
