@18moptop oh i do respect her and like some of her roles... but my opinion about her bel canto lies already written. And I understand very well how difficult it is to sing any role. She said she only workes 10 min a day in like all her documentaries oO it`s like her trademark... personally I don`t really believe her either.

@Serinia4melodic Obviously you don't understand the work that goes into preparing these pieces or you wouldn't be making comments like that. I am a music major at a major university that has a world renowned program. I have also worked on and sung this piece so I know just how much work goes into it. There is no way she worked just minutes a day on this piece, otherwise she wouldn't even be able to get up there and sing it. It may not be the best in your opinion but at least respect the artist.

@18moptop it`s called marketing. she`s horrible in bellini and all bel canto. Sutherland worked her ass off... netrebko a few minutes a day oO of course she can`t sing this. No ornamentation... nobody knows what`s missing.. retarded world.

Anna Netrebko has a beautiful voice, but it's such a pity that she

won't sing the lyric repertory that she's so well suited for, like La Boheme,

War & Peace (which I saw her sing) and instead insists on singing bel canto

parts by Donizetti and Bellini. I saw Sutherland do "La Sonnambula" and

the ornamentation was included, making the music vibrant--it's the way it's

supposed to be sung. If you want to hear someone today who can sing

@TheVaughan5 Everyone has there own interpretations of the aria. And why would she try to sound like Joan Sutherland with a voice like hers? She is just as professional as Ms. Sutherland and they both are great in their own ways. I think calling her incompetent is a very rude and unnecessary comment. Also, I don't think they would have asked her to sing this if she was incompetent. Not many people can sing this aria well so I respect her for it.
