I like when Stephen A is in this calm even keel gear as opposed to when he gets all amped up and starts screaming like a lunatic, even though that's sometimes funny. He just comes across more intelligent and credible than when hes the other way.

I disagree about Sotomayor. The issues the conservatives had with her were valid. She's a liberal who believes that the judiciary can legislate from the bench. There's quotes of her saying as much. However, the Republicans knew if she was rejected, Obama had people even more liberal candidates in the wings, so they gave in. Both my parents are from Puerto Rico and my father lives there now. I am a "New Yorican" myself, born in Jamaica, Queens, and went to high school in the Bronx.
