Roger test flies the Zenith STOL CH 750 (built by FlyWithGus.net), equipped with the modern UL260i engine. This is a four-cylinder, air-cooled, direct drive aircraft engine: 97 hp @ 3300 rpm / 82 hp @ 2800 rpm. Installed weight is just 160 lbs. This is a modern powerplant with fully electronic ignition and multipoint fuel injection (FADEC) system. This is a prototype cowl used for testing - a sleeker production cowl is in the works.
Engine details, see: http://www.ulpower.net
Geez this thing is smooth and quiet. Saw one with a continental on board, and though it sounded nice, it seemed to vibrate a lot. My uncle was just up there to buy one last weekend. Hope to get some time in it. hehe.

Zenith has announced it is developing firewall forward (FWF) packages for this engine for the CH 750, with a brand new cowl design. I think this will be the ideal combination for a super STOL!
