Krystal 8mths old cockatiel talking

Krystal loves to know what is going on at all times and makes sure she is the center of attention. Ok DNA results are in Krystal is a MALE so maybe we should call him Krys now.

Thats totally untrue, females are fully capable of talking, singing and whistling. They can be just as vocal as males, but in general females usually aren't very vocal, but its fully possible.

If it's a male you can tell by behaviour: male cockatiels are the singers and talkers!

On the other hand: if your cockatiel doesn't sing that doesn't mean it's a female. We have two male cockatiels, one a real macho man, while the other one doesn't sing or talk.

thats true as well .. but its the most affective way to tell unless u take ur bird to get checked out .. or the person who sold it to u knows before hand .. i lucked out and got my bird from a man who knows birds very well , and told me he was a male .. as well as the fact that he never shuts up and chirps and sings at everything that makes noise .lol

look at their faces, if the color is dark and distinct it a male, if its light, a famale. Also, you can tell behaviorlly. Like males do talk more, and louder
