I recently got a 4 month old hand reared/tamed female cockatiel pearl somethign she is lol shes sooo cute i just bought her from someone just a day ago so yea we're seeing if she will get used to us and sing from time to time.
We also have a male but his aggressive towards us and hisses and im unsure if we will put them both together or not at all.. :(

@avachat17 Seed is VERY VERY VERY bad for your birds..... it's extremely high in fat and very hard on their livers--- causing them to develop many liver problems and die much faster than normal.
Get him onto a pellet + Fresh vegetable diet asap .... or you could be cutting your companions life very short.

if your cockatiel has bright orange on their cheeks, then its a male....not so bright orange are the females.

i have a 6 mth old white-faced cockatiel. everyone said she would be mean and she wouldn't whistle or talk but she does both and she has never bit once...even if she doesn't know you, she'll go right to you...and she loves my teeth :Dl ol

Krystal was only 2 weeks old when i got him and I spoon feed him on spiecal food till he was old enough to eat seed

Ok DNA results are in Krystal is a MALE so maybe we should call him Krys now.

I think that this bird is a Boy!!Girls don't normally talk like that,and the Yellow Head is the giveaway visually.

Hi, we will find out next week if krystal is a boy or a girl as I had a DNA test done to find out.
