The numbers are divided into the type of dive, how many rotations, and what position you do the dive in. The first digit is what kind of dive. The last digit is how many half rotations. The letter is whether you do it in Tuck, pike, straight, or free position.

Not really. I piked way too soon. I didn't really ride the board up before going into the pike position. I've cleaned it up a bit since then and I don't compete that same dive anymore. I do my inwards in Straight position now or I do an inward one and a half tuck. I would really love to get the inward one and a half in pike though. Or get a two and a half tuck.

you do them straight!? that sounds so scary haha. yeah my 1.5 pikes are coming together pretty well now and I can do a double tuck pretty easily. I'm going on a training trip next week so maybe i'll go for the 2 1/2 tuck!

Yeah, I learned how to do them last summer. It takes some getting use to mentally. But they are really easy to do. People are just scared of them. But yeah, you should definitely go for the 2.5. Especially if they have the bubble machine that breaks the surface tension of the water for training. I need to start trying some bigger dives. I have ok dives and they look really nice but I don't have the high DDs that will help me win. My biggest dive is just a 105C. I need more 2.0+ DDs.

honestly, I'm not sure. I think that means you can perform the dive in what ever position you can do it in??? But I might be wrong.
