I miss avid merrion too however avid is not the right character for a how like this. Keith suits it down to a T and with Keith he is accepted on to other shows like this morning and other shows so he can do more with the character. Avid merrion was rarely accepted I guess coz of the fear of it going too far and being too crude. Either way - Leigh Francis is a ledgend whatever character he plays.

@tommytankvideo Leigh wasn't allowed on other shows, not because his alter ego was Avid Merrion, but because Leigh was too associated with Bo Selecta! at the time, which caused a lot of controversy with the celebrity culture. He could come on any of the stuff he does as Avid Merrion now and it not be a problem.
