On the 21st April 2010, the Royal Fusiliers held a homecoming parade in Kenilworth. Without the slightest hint of irony, the band played "The Great Escape"

  • No they are two different tunes, thought they do sound similar. Colonel Bogey was used in the film 'Bridge On The Rivet Kwai'. The Great Escape theme was written by Elmer Bernstein, Colonel Bogey was written by Lieutenant F J Ricketts. Just check out Wikipedia,
