I thought the floor mat controlled the cruise control.. Nah just kidding, if the situation arose, ide buy a Toyota. :P

But didn't Toyota tell Steve Wazniak that he just didn't understand how the cruise worked when he noted his Prius accelerating unexpectedly while on cruise? They told him that when the lever is held down, the set-speed increases by a 5 mph increment every few seconds that the lever is held. So if you push it down at 55mph, and release it at 75mph, you may have just set it to a very high value, indeed. Very bad UI decision, if you ask me, if that's really how it works.
