This is a collection of photo's throughout my dad's life accompanied by his wonderful singing! My mum created it and it was played at the wake following the funeral for friends and family. I wanted to share it so I hope you all enjoy! Thanks to everyone for all their support over the last few months! x

  • Please check out Peter Glossop's youngest daughter's show reel on youtube - search Rosie Glossop's Showreel - He was very proud of her voice and sadly missed out on her performances but he would be encouraging her now if he were here with us today! Rosie is now trying to find a good agent so if anyone reading has any contacts please get in touch and help Rosie to follow in her father's footsteps! Thanks ;-)

  • Tommy I so strongly agree with you - I wonder if I could get some sort of honour for him even though he's no longer with us? If anyone knows please let me know...

  • All

We are holding a memorial service on the 10th Ocober in London for my dad - please contact for me if you would like to attend

    Kind regards

    Amber

  • I just loved to hear Peter Glossop sing. If I remember correctely, I once had a record of Peter Glossop and June Bronhill singing Merry England, I would love to get my hands on another copy.

  • You can purchase this on the amazon website

  • Fans of Famous British Baritone Peter Glossop:

I am planning on organising a memorial service to mark a year on from my dad's passing.

  • "'Do you want to know who the greatest Verdi baritone this country has ever produced is? Peter Glossop."

    Sir Thomas Allen

Said to me in a masterclass some years ago now. Listening to this video I can see why! And yes, your father should have been knighted just like the late and very great Philip Langridge and Anthony Rolfe Jonhson. However, the memories of their performances and the recordings we still treasure are a legacy most of us mortals can only dream of aspiring to.

  • What a Rigoletto your father was!

I hope he rests in peace. What a beautiful tribute.

  • Peter Glossop's autobiography is honest, sensitive, self-perceptive and insightful, qualities which pervaded his singing.

  • Greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is a disgrace that Peter Glossop and the tenor Charles Craig were never properly recognised by the so -called Establishment. They both had voices of great character combined with a sure sense of humanity.

  • Sad Amber, Thank you for putting up this wonderful tribute to your Dad. What a beautiful legacy you have in recordings of such a wonderful singer andof course YOUR DAD.

    Be well

    John W Oz

  • I'm a big fan, specially of his Iago and his Duke of Nottinham.

  • How can Her Majesty knight Elton John but not Peter Glossop?? Unforgiveable...
