decided to watch this again - was blessed to have been with the Santa Ana folks then. Was at this National skating Intermediate Ladies Figs (placed 10th). Gosh, Lincoln was fun unitl the handrail came off in Brian Monahan's hand and down the stair he went the night before my event (my Mom and Norman Berry my dance partner were with him when it happened and afterward). Nationals went on and all these great performances are here for us to see. Thanks so much

what is the background music?

@inkigl - The first cut is Hungarian Rhapsody by Franz Lizst. The second cut is Andrew and Julian Lloyd Webber's "Variations" (taken from "Variations on a Theme of Paganini" by Brahms) The third cut is Hymne by Vangelis. The fourth I can't think of at the moment...it's on the tip of my brain. When I remember, I'll post it.

Thank you for showing these wonderful video's. I skated with Rechelle and Cindy around this time. I was skating for Shannon Gentile. These are such wonderful memories. Thanks for bringing them back. So many wonderful skaters back then.

Glad you guys like these vids. Thanks for your nice comments. Yeah, Dennis and Gail did wonderful things for Larry as coaches. First with Nicky and then with Tina. Let me say though that Ellen Elam was an excellent partner for Larry and lets face it, without her as a partner and without his coaches in Texas, he would not have received the great foundation that he did that carried him forward with different partners. Ellen was simply to close to his size that's all. BTW, Shannon Gentile ROCKS !

OMG! I remember this clear as day - Gail put this program together in like 3-4 months before regiionals - if Larry would not have fell, they would have won hands down! Dennis and Gail were awesome coaches and I had the privilege of watching both of them skate pairs way back in the day! Thanks for the memories!

I was really happy for the both of them. Prior to this year, Larry skated with Ellen Elam who was just too close to his body weight and height. There was no way that he would have ever had the success that he did without making the change of partner. Nicky could sell ice to an Eskimo out there on the floor. She has some of the best presentation, showmanship and body positions of any female pairs skater ever. She won Worlds with David Demotte in 89, then Larry paired up with Tina Jerue.
