i am a amatuer but why are the students wielding the dummy weapoons like clubs? the guy in black sparring with the students at 2.21 - 2.36 is good but i notice he strike from the side and he twist his wrist which may injure himself. FCSS student

This is our introductory program to chanbara, therefore, we can teach this much within the given hours, it will be ideal that everyone can wield the sword properly, but it is impossible, sadly.
Likewise, more hours of training means proper wielding and technics.
Getting 100+ students to stand in line, do technics and sparring is already a huge success, and hence it shows how simple chanbara is.

woah, then i must have been practicing chanbara at home. lol...
btw, its the best you have warming up then proceding to training as they did not grasp the idea of parry and counter is better than blocking than attack.

Yes, we do warm up then proceEding to the training, as shown in the video,
As I said earlier on, the concept of parry and counter cannot be taught 'just like that'.
Furthermore, it is also a fact that we do not encourage students to do 'block and strike' set during sparring. And this video does not show signs of students blocking an attack, or even parrying, as I said, it is not a simple concept to learn.
