Senators Mark Udall and Ron Wyden spoke on the floor of the Senate about the proposed reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act. The legislation would allow the government to continue using three controversial and wide-ranging provisions for four more years. The senators have concerns about the lack of time for debate on the bill as well as the impact of the provisions, which allow extensive government access to private records and power to wiretap individuals or groups.
Senator Udall. If you, Senator Paul, and Senator Wyden keep at it we will make change for good. Where in the past there was a single voice of opposition there are now at least three. That is slow but, it is still a step in the right direction.

@Aboriginalmedia - Practice, practice, practice. It is sad that in this day and age it is more important that we are entertained than the substance of the presentation. I know you are correct for most people. I for one am finally proud one of my representatives from Colorado is at last representing the people as opposed to the corporations, military industrial complex, and special interest lobbyists. I hope he keeps it up and remembers who he is supposed to be representing.

Amazing how you Mr. Udal can render the effective dissolution of our constitutions as dull as a 1950s black and white TV. Defend the constitution vigorously and passionately!
