"...Not only is there no difference in content, but there's actually no difference in form [between what Bush said three years ago & what Obama said]. It's the same wording..."

  • is there a transcript/video of the george bush speech he was talking about?

  • @nayeemahaye It was a speech Bush gave to the press in Jerusalem on 10 Jan 2008. There is a trascript of the speech here: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7182041.stm

  • If you type out the link in your browser (rather than copy & paste), it should work.

  • 100% Norman...between Norman, Chomsky, Rabbi Weiss and others there is no way not to see that this is a one-sided issue...There was big news about President Obama meeting with AIPAC. What Palestinian group or committee is he going to meet with?

  • This was extraordinarily helpful. Finkelstein, inimitably, succeeded in publicly flushing out the core posture of JStreet from the bushes as a soft-pedaled "AIPAC lite" (a third less militant than your regular Zionists!). People sincerely interested in peace for Israel and self-determination for the Palestinians now know exactly who JStreet is and how they REALLY think (just like Tzipi Livni), despite their rhetoric. Kudos, Norman!

  • Israel is ruining thing with their Tom Foolery & defiance.

  • Love Finkelstein, love Democracy Now!

  • Even though the guy from JStreet is relatively fair, Norman Finkelstein is right yet again. Israel insists on recognition, yet never ever recognises a Palestinian state. Just today Israel's government announced 1,500 new homes in the West Bank - what an insult to the Peace Process, building on occupied territory!

  • The only thing that Israel and America want to do is inslave the middle east the same as they have done with the west....Democracy by definition means 100% of the peoples freedom and rights catered for..How can we fly under the banner of Democracy when we do not have this in our own country....All *ollocks and Horse Dug..Lets set off the Nukes and start all over again...Cos we aint going anywhere on this planet but into Slavery.......
