Total Recall 2070 opening theme music.

Michael Easton and Karl Pruner starred in the 1999 scifi TV show that captured more of a Blade Runner feel than anything the words Total Recall bring to mind if you only think of the movie, according to many. If you read some Philip K. Dick it probably wouldn't make much difference. It was based on the worlds of both "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" in any case, basically. Think total paranoia, androids, rainy and dark and neon lit city scapes and a future you don't want to live in but which, surprise surprise, is pretty much getting here already except for all the cool bits, i.e. the scifi side of it. Wikipedia the show and read more.

Alliance Atlantis and Showtime did good until the show got canceled after only one series and it's still not properly out on DVD, so please, could you get it out so we can buy the thing finally? Machine Dreams 1+2, the pilot episode, is available on DVD in the States and France I think, and I heard _rumours_ about the entire series having been out in Japan but I'm not sure. See other clips for bits from the pilot.

  • I really liked this show, but why did they name it "Total recall" when it is much closer to "Blade runner"?

  • Wow, I thought this show would look like shit, but it looks far more professional than the current Doctor Who. Pretty cool.

  • Awesome!

  • If your a Canadian you can buy the whole series of Total Recall for $19.99. The set though doesn't come with any special features though, just the episodes. The video quality for each episode is really good and plus for that price, it's a bargain. You can find it at most retailers. The dvd set is the whole series and it's uncut, so you are not missing anything.

  • 0:35 Hey! That's Number 5 from Battlestar Galatica

  • @TonyDetelder - Because the licence for BladeRunner cost a fortune. So they bought the relatively cheap licence for Total Recall and made BladeRunner the series anyway.

  • @MikeAM78 Some episodes have been uploaded to the "TotalRecall2070" account here on YouTube :)

  • I remember when this show was on, but never saw it. Now hearing that it's very similar to "Blade Runner," I'll have to import the DVD set from Canada when they come out to check it out.

  • @Symphyla

Very Blade Runner. Just happens to take place in the Total Recall universe. Good show.

  • Are they sure they didn't mean Blade Runner 2070? O_o
