I got a little heavy on pasting people, so sue me, I was new at this and wanted to make sure there was the size crowd I envisioned for this type of performance. Surprisingly, this is my very first band video.Shot with my larger steadycam with what I recall was only one onboard lavalier mic! Man, did I luck out! Audio tweaked and effects added in Apples Garage Band software.
April 2009 in a club outside of Gainseville Georgia called Harbor Lights, regional sing-anything, play-anything man Andrew Black performed with his new band members. Dropping in was legendary guitarist Forrest McDonald who smoked on stage, excessively. I had the pleasure and the blessings of Andrew to shoot at will with my Steadycam invention, and I do believe I caught them on a good night. Here is a damn fine rendition of Jimi Hendrixs' Hey Joe.

  • This is awesome. Sounds exactly like original. Sir, my respect to that solo rendition. 5 freaking stars.

  • Thanks. I have read/heard Forrest McDonald (smoker on left)has jammed around with Van Halen and did the guitar work for Bob Seeger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" hit, as well as many other accomplishments. I have more from that night I will eventually get to and post, but only did this while contemplating editing of my REAL project, my fictional drama I'm producing.
