  • I have just built a pole lathe and am interested in learning a little about wood turning. I was wondering how you make your mandrels and how you prevent the spikes from being driven into the mandrel instead of the wood when you hammer it into the blank.

hope you can help me out,

    thanks,

    Liam

  • @robinturns Thank you!

  • What is it about the sound of the tool cutting the wood without being drowned out by a motor that is so incredibly satisfying?

  • lathes are so much fun to play with
