i made a partition on my hardrive so i can install Linux in it but, when i try to install opensuse in there it gets complicated because i don't want to get rid of windows 7 and when i chose my hardrive i cant find the partition i made in there

@hotmayo55 I solved my problem ... I just bought a new system (Motherboard, CPU). It´s a 64bit system. Downloaded and installed ubuntu Linux 9.10 64bit Version and it runs PERFECTLY.
Not a single problem anymore ;D

@NoRestart I also got that error message...i had to use wipe disk to completely delete my HDD...and then i installed Linux Mint 9...still kinda bugy...im planning to swicth to openSuse or Mandriva...i suggest you delete your HDD...with wipedisk or Darik's boot and Nuke...

i think this with kde looks same like kubuntu 9.10
thanks for taking the time! one question...when you set up the network settings and used dns etc are you only using those servers to use this box as a server?

@ed0985587 These are client DNS settings. So exiting DNS servers that this machine can use. A DNS Server can be configured in openSUSE but this is purely client settings
