  • Good job! I really like the way you mounted the coax in the pvc pipe for stress relief. That's a great idea if the cable is connected directly to the elements.

  • @zerozedzed Hi. Thanks for the comment, I think one of your videos gave me the idea. We get some strong winds here in Wellington and I didn’t like the idea of a solder joint taking the all the strain. . 73, All the best. NZRadioGuy

  • is it for cb or uhf

  • @adamshondaxl350r1985 Hi. This antenna is tuned for Amateur 40m Band around 7.15 MHz.

New Zealand Has three CB Bands: 26 MHz CB, 27 MHz CB and UHF PRS. This antenna design can be used for CB, however, the antenna would be smaller due to the wavelength. ½ Wave Dipole at 26 MHz would be about 5 m in length instead of this ½ Wave at 7 MHz = 20m . Hope this has been of help. 73, All the best. NZRadioGuy

  • Hi mate good luck with the project. Now that the better weather is on it's way to Oz I want to build a fan antenna for 80-40m. All the best 73s

  • @Jackupnow Hi. Sounds good! I would be interested in seeing your video on it if you are going to make one! Always interested in other ways of doing things! 73. All the best. Thanks for comment. NZRadioGuy

  • @Jackupnow Hi There. Thanks for the comment. I have a six metre mast I have been meaning to erect for the last few weeks. I gathered the roof was absorbing my signal. Haven’t bean able to maintain contact with antenna as it is. Thanks again, will poste video when I get the mast up. 73. All the best. NZRadioGuy

  • @808intheminigrass Hi. Thanks for comment. Just found how to reply to a ‘comment‘. Have posted a video of test and some stations I have received with it. But haven’t been able to make contact yet as aerial is to close to ground. Thanks again. 73 NZRadioGuy
