this year delta will introduce the new long haul cabin to their 747's cheers!

when you're on the second biggest airplane in the world, you need those little TVs. otherwise the flight is gonna be a big pain in the ass. that's what i think at least.

why are there 3 pilots? I thought the 747 didn't require a flight engineer. or do they switch when one pilot gets tired?

@ronaldbuffalo2 Their was actually 4 pilots! Two Captains and two First-Officers. No flight engineers. Since most of the 747 flights are over 8 hours we are required to carry a relief crew. So their is two flight crews on board on this flight which was about 12 hours, all 4 pilots are required in the cockpit for takeoff and landing, then about 30 min to an hour after take off one set of crew will go back and sleep for about 6 hours, then the crews will switch out and one flies, one sleeps!
