My son has been using the Omnipod system for over two years and it has allowed him to live more closely to his life prior to being diagnosed with T1. It is easily attached, not obtrusive, can be worn in the shower and pool, and the PDM (Personal Diabetes Manager) that comes with it, does all the calculating for you. I highly, highly recommend Omnipod. For anyone who complains about it... yes you can get faulty pods but Omnipod has been amazing with their customer service and replacing product.

You DON'T want this system. Pods fail all the time. Humidity/heat = failure, cold = failure, bumping just the right way = failure, 12 hour wear (Sometimes) = failure, it's called the siren of death and it's probably one of the most frustrating sounds to a diabetic. I get so pissed off I smash the pods when I hear it. Trust me, you don't want this system. Wait for the Jewel pump to come out, get something like that which ISN'T this system. I'm a Omnipod user, so take this from me.

@xxSJTrotterxx I think they have the Omnipod through Abbott Diabetes in the UK. That's what I've heard anyways :)
