Sure, there's wine and cheese shops now, but we still have andy's market going strong, the wapo, the dozen bakeries, the greek association, the blue wave, sullivan's etc etc. There's lots of young families living in Rosi again. It's pretty good mix of people and more alive than a lot of city neighborhoods.
I grew up on Kittredge st (one street over from Poplar). I also remember the "spa" on the corner (now taco place). My folks still live in the community. I live on the west coast now. Thanks for the video from what I still consider home.
Fornax bread FTW!! I remember when the taco place she mentioned was called the Spa. They had a penny scale that gave fortunes and jukeboxes at every table.
