Tom Brokaw narrates a short video, prepared by NBC for the Atlantic Council Awards Dinner, on the fall of the Berlin Wall and other political changes taking place in Europe during 1989. President George H.W. Bush and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl received the 2009 Distinguished International Leadership Award in honor of their historic roles in bringing about the peaceful end of the Cold War and German reunification. The dinner commemorated the 20th anniversary year of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the 60th anniversary of NATO. (April 29, 2009)
