I am just discovering this Jewell of gospel music recently. I am loving each selection I download. This was before my time, but I still enjoy every note.
Any suggestions out there on websites or other sources where I can learn more about the Ward Singers? Any input would be appreciated.

thank you for this. i really am enjoying these songs. did clara write the day is past and gone? i heard aretha sang it at her funeral. i know ree must have been crushed. i love arethas version, when she is 14 years old. so much power obviously she was displaying her influence by clara and sam cooke.

No, Clara didn't write "The Day Is Past And Gone," but it was one of her favorite hymns.
