I visited after 30 yrs...had a WONDERFUL time!! Keep an open mind... I didn't feel unsafe but be aware of whats around you. Although things have changed, overall time stood still for many places.You can't beat the Guyanese hospitality, you get a REALITY check!! You have to visit the jewel of Guyana, the Kaieteur falls and the rainforest. What a TRIP OF A LIFETIME it was.... (hope this helps...enjoy)
