I prefer Walter Gieseking.

Has this ever been released on dvd?

Michelangeli has prob the best Debussey interpreter of all time.

The 11 dislikes were mistakes hitting the the wrong key, as they were drunk IMO.

Well, thank you very much for your kind words!
'Classical' music isn't a good term for a lot of so-called music, indeed.
If you like Debussy' music, you'll probably like Fauré's, Chabrier's, Poulenc's, Ravel's, Satie's and many other French composers' as well.
Greetings from Flanders/Belgium in spring,
Geert.

@geertdehoux -I checked out your site and was very impressed with your playing.Although I love all music I confess my knowledge of "Classical music" (for lack of a better term)is minimal at best.I am quite familiar with Debussy although I haven't heard the interpretations you mentioned, unless I have done so unwittingly.Good luck in all your musical endeavors.

OK.
Do you know Krystian Zimmerman's and Alfred Cortot's recordings of the Debussy Preludes ?
Although very different of each other's, I like them very much!
A cordial greeting,
Geert Dehoux, pianist.
Flanders/Belgium.

@geertdehoux I suppose that was a little vague. My point is he "inhabits" this music. He seems very much "at home" in its sonic landscape.
have you ever noticed how half the people on youtube are experts! If it's a cooking video, the chef is doing it wrong, if it's a musician he's playing it wrong-if you can do any better, show us, if not shut up and let everyone else enjoy it.
