A Video about the upcoming General Election in Ireland in February 2011. I have listened to many people complain about lack of alternatives but they forget one startling fact that I outline in the clip.

Please register your vote on the 25th. The very future of our small country is at stake and Fianna Fáil, Labour and Fine Gael are attempting to saddle the Irish people with billions of € of bad private debt. Down with feudalism!

I hope you enjoy the video and hope that you vote.

  • Nice breakdown. Hoping for the socialists, as always.

  • @JLAEBB anks. Me too. Joe Higgins has been elected and Clare Daly is very likely also. Predictions are, on a good day, 7 seats for the ULA and 16 for Sinn Féin.

Methinks Ireland will, for the first time in a long time, have a proper right/left divide in the Dáil.

  • @JLAEBB That should be "thanks"

  • Doesn't matter who you vate for - the government still get in.

  • @radicalviews Of course the government depends on how the votes fall so it does matter.

  • good video and breakdown, pity sinn féin didnt do better but was still great result! Sinn Féin Abú

  • bunch of overpaid tossers talking crap all day at the expense of everyone else USELESS WANKERS

  • No it's because we're not taking in enough taxes to cover spending. Whether you get that funding from taxes or natural resources is another debate. I agree though that the State should take more ownership of our natural resources. We need to find out how much it's going to cost us to run vital services and then raise taxes appropriately to cover that, either through taxation of income or resources.

  • @celtsbhoy88 Cuts need to happen, whether you're left, right or in the centre. We have an €18billion deficit. It all depends on where you cut I suppose. If you look at the video again I did point out that every time FF, FG or Lab were in power these governments collapsed and/or ultimately failed the people. My point is that in a left-leaning coalition, Labour would be forced to concede parts of their manifesto to go into government, inevitably dragging them to the left a little.

  • @MrFunkyBoogaloo I dont agree with that like the british labour party they will agree to the massive cuts and roll ahead with the failed fianna fail policies. wake up fianna fail fine gael and labour are all working for the elite. they have all agreed to contiune finna fails policies like the oil and gas and then the bail outs. Votail sinn fein.
