This is a vacuum sealed box of Circus brand peanuts that I picked up at an estate sale. I'm guessing these date to the 1960s, mostly because at the same sale I also picked up a record of Circus Nuts radio spots that's dated 1963. Obviously the people worked for either Circus Nuts or the ad agency. Anyway, I wanted to see how well the nuts fared in their time capsule, so I decided to make an unboxing video. After the unboxing, you get to hear most of the radio spots that are on the record. Yes, I had alot of time on my hands today. Oh yeah, the music is something I wrote for the Fern St. Circus, a community circus that I used to be the music director of in the early 90s. PS i forgot to squeeze the package.

  • "One handed unboxing" is the most exciting version of unboxing if you ask me.

  • Those peanuts look better than most of the ones you buy now.

  • Genius

  • ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY VACUUM PACK.

  • Really!!!! I stlll have the commercials and the outtakes. The advertising agency, Donohue & Coe merged with another agency to become West, Weir & Bartel at the same address.

  • @jeromewy33 Really???? Too Cool!!!!!! Its good to talk to someone who knows about this nostalgic era of commercials, we have to talk

  • @Airsoftcleaner

My partner and I created those commercials in 1966 or '67. Truth is, we simply watched Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett do their inprov magic. They gave us hours of material and we edited a half dozen 30-second spots. The stuff that never made the air was just as funny.

  • Fresh as a daisy! And almost 50 years old! Wasn't Don Draper trying to snag the agency account for this on "Mad Men"?

  • I remember the commercial "Circus Nuts The Freshest Nuts in Town"

  • did you puke after eating the peanuts?

  • I love peanuts
