So was I, I drove all the way from Canberra to witness this. James Hird is the best player to ever represent Essendon.

It's hard to say... it's very possible, but it probably won't be for a while. People like Kevin Sheedy hardly come along often.

Even though I'm a Hawks supporter, I really can appreciate these two guys. Hird was a brilliant player and a top bloke, Sheedy a legendary and passionate coach. Hope they have the best of luck in the future.
