After Gov. Tim Pawlenty suggests that President Obama's in-school speech to students on the first day of school would be "disruptive," CNN's John King immediately brings up the fact that Pawlenty's own wife "frequently visits elementary schools to teach students about democracy and the three branches of government..."

At that point, Tim backs down and says, "I think it's okay..."

  • It might be the first day of school in your state, but for many living in the rest of the country, our children have been back for 2-3 weeks now. Continue to preach your doctine of disrespect for the POTUS. Someday there may even be another GOP President (though I doubt it the way the GOP party stands today). When and if that happens, blame yourself for any disrespect your children display for the office of the POTUS. You can dislike the man if you choose, but you should respect the office.

  • no idiot your just appeasing the lunatic base of your party to play into the whole "obama - hitler" nonsense.

Convenient how you never said anything about GWB senior talking politics to kids, or GWB jr talking about no child left behind to kids.

Or to Ron Paul going into great detail about conservative phylosophy, or Newt Gingrich intruding and telling schools what texxt books they need to have.

but a speech from obama is indoctrination

  • @brian8793 Brian, the dems tax & spend. The Repubs borrow and spend. For example, Bush put 2 freekin wars on a credit card. The cost of those stupid ass invasions already exceed 2 tril, all borrowed. I don't have much praise for Dems these days but you have to admit it's a little more honest to tax and spend than borrow & spend.

  • @DWDave67 No, I disagree Dave. The Repubs would be wonderful dog catchers. Think about Palin driving in the frozen streets of Wasilla trying to round up loose pit bulls.

  • @brian8793 I can say one positive thing about the former Mass Governor. He is at least better than the lineup of the other scum sucking Repub cretins who will be running. I guess that ain't sayin much. I'd vote for a corpse before Romney.

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • People dont want a colored talikin to their children about doing well in school and working hard. They dont want him to tell them to respect their parents and do well in school!! but if was selling drugs to their kids it would be ok!! How backwards is the US??

  • Pawlently in 3D: Disgusting. Disrespectful. Dumb.

  • I think the president giving the speech on first day is very important. It sets the stage, a tone to give our students to work hard and get the most out of their learning. What Pawlenty doesn't want is a black man telling his "white" kids who to listen to or not. The fact stands, Pawlenty hasn't done much for the poorer people of MN, but he is working hard to talk to big corporation in MN to fund his 2012 presidential campaign and fight the DFLs. What a waste of my tax dollars.

  • @brian8793 What do you like best about Mitt? The way he flip-flops on just about every issue or the fact that his healthcare plan for MA was basically adopted by the Dems and now he opposes it? He's like playdough... he will mold himself to whatever the audience wants. Lets take the country backwards! Vote GOP! yeah right...

  • @DWDave67 That's not happenin. I'm voting for Mitt Romney. I'm supporting Mitt Romney. He is exactly what we need.

    Peace ; )
