One of my favorite songs, and in my opinion one of the best Catholic songs that has ever been written. I wish this song was sung at more Masses!

Lyrics:

What do you want of me, Lord? Where do you want me to serve you? Where can I sing your praises. I am your song.

Refrain: Jesus, Jesus, you are the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. 2. Jesus, Jesus, you are my Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. 3. Jesus, Jesus, be warmth of my heart. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. Jesus, Jesus, you are my light. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way.

I hear you call my name, Lord, and I am moved within me. Your Spirit stirs my deepest self. Sing your songs in me.

Above, below, and around me. Before, behind and all through me, your Spirit burns deep within me. Fire my life with your love.

You are the light in my darkness. You are my strength when I'm weary. You give me sight when I'm blinded. Come see for me.

  • I love version better as the other version is boring. I tried to influence our music group at church to do more of the modern contemporary worship music. All those great "Glory & Praise" classics, as I miss hearing them!

  • @patsaxon I agree 100%. Luckily, my church prefers this version and we sing it over the "other" one.

  • I sing bass in my church choir and every time we do this song I get teary-eyed. Thank you for your rendition. It's beautiful.

  • @rv3651: You're welcome. I am glad you enjoyed this beautiful song!

  • Beautiful

  • @BlindLed: Thanks. I love it.

  • @slicksum11 We don't worship the Pope. He is a spiritual guidance to us. He has completely dedicated his life to God, therefore we look up to him with respect.

  • I'm Orthodox (russian) christian ... but i respect the roman catholics ... they are our western christian brothers and sisters . Greetings from your eastern christian brother. God bless all !!!

  • @craventref I do not know when he was born and he never told us to celebrate his birth.

  • @Mcstroke57 so tell me when was Jesus was born.

  • @craventref Jesus was not born on christmas and it is all pagan related.

  • @Mcstroke57 we celebrate christmass and easter because Gods promises became reality, emmanuel was born. Jesus conquered death and promise again that he will come back and that will be a great celebration and we are all invited.

  • Beautiful!

  • When I hear this music video, it makes me cry as it is so beautiful! I do not know who is the musician, but this person has done a wonderful job!

  • This is such a great song! I miss the contemporary modern songs of the past, as more and more Catholic churches are going towards traditional music that so borring. Music is to be celebrated, not to be put to sleep, and songs like this makes me happy, and want to sing along. I do not know who the keyboard player of this video, but this person plays it well! Happy New Year every one and God bless all of you!
