-- spot on.. they did practically the same thing with firewire, and look where it got them (usb, another intel product, ultimately won). eventually the 'apple' thunderbolt will die. lightpeak (the optical variety intel originally intended) will live on.

Light-peak was a great idea then Apple bribed Intel, took away the video stream capture ability, made it copper instead of optical and stopped PC manufacturers from getting it. Nice work Apple dickheads.
