Grape Hyacinths are a favourite of mine. Their botanical Latin name, as I recall, is Muscari. I like them very much; and they feature, too, in the artwork of Beatrix Potter in her lovely animal stories. Look out for them, next time you read those books!
While not as glamourous, perhaps, as Bluebells, the Grape Hyacinths do, actually, have a very beautiful perfume. Alas, their scent is under-appreciated, due to the fact that they are so very close to the ground--far away from our noses. But they do make very nice posies, and can be put in tiny vases on a bedside table for olfactory delight in spring.
