People are not aware of bicycles. It's like there not visible. The same true of motorcycles. On more than one occasion I had to run off the road to avoid a car. When your on two wheels everyone else has the right of way. At least that's the way I play it.

Both the lane and bike lane look too narrow. Best to ride right in the middle of the traffic line and forget about that silly bike lane.
