This is the first time trying out my new Simplicity Snow Blower, and it's terrific. I especially like the PowerBoost feature. If you listen to the sound of the motor, you can hear when it hits deep snow, it kicks in more power. That, and the hand warmers are just terrific.

  • You live in vancouve dont you? I saw the bus go by.

  • As indicated in the Info & Settings on the video, I am located in Montreal QC, not Vancouver. I don't think Vancouver gets this much snow. Buses look pretty much the same everywhere. But thanks for watching.

  • just got mine today :)

  • Cool blower. I like the electric chute control. What is that grinding sound I hear every time you stop and back up?

  • Dude like this thing trows snow like crazy wow ,never imagined a simplicity would do that .I was wondering why are you pulling that blower back by hand .Awsome blower , Im going to see the dealer up the road in the morning .

  • Ahhh, your a good man! Responded to the point and not to perceived insults. I want that electric chute control. Looking to buy a P1628E 28" commercial model so I can give it to my son in 30 years when I buy a new one!

    :)

  • See my comments above. I am VERY civic minded, and I always clear all the sidewalks and bus stops.

Everyone around me uses the service guys with the plow on the pickup trucks. They put ALL their snow on the street and block the sidewalks, where I normally blow it all onto the lawn.

Don't get me started on civic mindedness...

    ;-)

  • I normally blow to the lawn on the right, but that day the wind was blowing right to left

Since they also hadn't cleared the street snow away yet, I was blowing it onto the pile from the plow.

You should know though, that I ALWAYS clear all the sidewalks (50' in either direction), and I cut a path through the snowbanks for the people at the bus stop so that people getting on/off the bus don't have to step into the snow.

Not like contractors who push the snow and block the sidewalks/street

  • 1st gear is generally very slow, for when you have 2-3' of snow. I usually use 2nd or 3rd gear. This was probably 2nd

I have the 1524E model. I can't remember exactly how much, but I think it was something around $1900 tax in. The place was out in Ile Perrot/Dorion somewhere. Very nice guy.

The Pro series is built like a tank. Much more rigid than cheaper units. There is no flex in the construction, handles, etc.

I personally love it, and think it was worth the money.

  • Were you in first gear going forward? Looks a little fast from here. Got the top of the line model I see. How much do they cost (I'm from quebec and might get the exact same modem next year to replace my 30 year old snowblower)

    Thanks

  • Great snowthrower! Nothing like Simplicity. Now you just need to learn how to throw snow in both directions and not onto the sidewalk and street! Especially with the Electric chute control!!!

    LOL!

  • Owned.
