Agreed - having lived on a skydiving airfield I have seen this type of 'snapshot' many times. The parachutist was higher and further away from the camera than the aircraft which looks to have just taken off. It does look a little fake with the prop seeming to be static but as you say it could easily be a framerate/frequency co-incidence.

This is probably just one of those vids shot at an awkward angle. The plane seemed far too big to have been flying next to the parachutist as though it was closer to the filmer then the parachutist was. However, it does not look real anyway. The propeller is not turning!

@ktracy60 ... The only person/posting that has got this correct! ... You're right about the aircraft being between the camera and the skydiver creating an optical illusion... and the cameras shutter speed would give the illusion of the prop coming to a complete standstill! He was never in any danger of being hit by the aircraft! Excellent! 10/10!

Just a reply to all the comments, the video is not fake. It is a real plane and a real parachutist which by angle of the shot made the plane appear to travel very close to the chutist. The fact you can't here the plane engine is because it was far enough away that the sound was drowned out by other ambient sounds. The propeller was running (or at least I hope it was!) it just appears to not rotate as its rotation was a multiple of the FPS of the Camera.
