Hey awesome video. I maybe want to buy this guitar, but some people on the internet say that the gold hardware wears off. And witch one is better, the dot or the sheraton?
@Big0e1 Thanks for watching. The Sheraton II is a nicer guitar than the Epi dot. The hardware is gold and it will wear off. I have some vintage guitars and the gold is still intact, so I'm sure the amount of gold and the process in plating is different now than it was 30 years ago. Anyone else care to weigh n on this?
@brianway1 I'm hesitating between buying a brand new Sheraton 2, a 2001 Sheraton, or a 1988 Sheraton (any helpful comments are welcome). The 1988's pick-ups gold is worn off, but it don't bothers me that much..
I'd probably buy the 1988. It was probably made in Japan. Nice quality. Next the 2001 which was made in Korea. I'm not sure if the brand new ones are still made in Korea or China. Go with the 1988.
Best review I've seen. Very professional and fully informative. Thanks!
