Warrington Bank Quay Railway Station: 11th October 2010

A quick visit to Warrington Bank Quay on the 11th October 2010, with some freight sightings and passenger sightings. First off, we have a rather poor shot of 66420 powering north with 4S44 Daventry - Mossend. Afterwards we have a few passenger trains, including a Voyager, a Pendolino and a Class 156. Finally, we get back to the freight, and 92001 is seen speeding south with 4M63 Mossend - Hams Hall. Then 66023 is seen heading north light engine, possibly for Carlisle Yard. Then we have a welcome surprise for me! 47739 on the timber train to Chirk from Ribblehead. I knew about this, and was supposed to miss it due to timings and me returning to my hotel in Manchester, but it ran around 30ish late and was waiting here when I got there! Anyway, 47739 powers away with 6Z41 to Chirk. Afterwards, we have some 60 action! 60013 is seen crossing over the lines and heading into the platform for a driver change with 6F09 Fiddlers Ferry - Liverpool Bulk Term. 60059 is then seen proceeding down the line next to yard to run round its rake of coal hoppers, before continuing to Fiddlers Ferry with 6F84 Liverpool Bulk Term - Fiddlers Ferry. For the last of the freight, we have 70004 storming south with 4M74 Coatbridge - Crewe! Last but not least, a Pendolino is seen departing heading north to Glasgow Central.
